Silver Spoon Ice Cream and Sweets is known for its delicious “super-premium” ice cream, as well as freeze-dried candy and several other homemade sweets such as brownies, rice krispies, etc. This company started in Wisconsin and eventually moved and is now located in Wildwood and Eureka. Silver Spoon was established on Sept 16, 2022, by siblings, Jen Staral and David Staral. With their unique and special flavors and business on the rise, Silver Spoon was able to announce a new Donut Shop opening on Nov. 8. The Staral’s explain more information on the upcoming shop.
Jen Staral explains that the new shops will mostly be selling donuts and other delicious breakfast items.
“We will be selling old-fashioned donuts and some kind of pastry and treats,” Jen said. “Likely cinnamon rolls to start, and maybe get into muffins later on. But right now I think we’re just going to do donuts, coffee, juice, and all the breakfast beverages as well.”
Staral explains the reasons why she and her brother David are opening the new shop, along with Silver Spoon Ice Cream.
“We wanted to do something obviously outside of ice cream,” Jen said. “The ice cream shops have been fantastic, Eureka has been so supportive and the community has been great supporting our small business. There is no donut shop that is open 7 days a week as far as an early morning breakfast. So we wanted to capture that market. We were going to be the only place around 7 days a week where you can get donuts besides a grocery store or gas station. We wanted to be different than everyone else, so we came up with the donut shop.”
With the new donuts coming out, there is a selection of flavors.
“We are looking into the regular old-fashioned cake donut, and going to dabble into the gluten-free donuts as well,” Jen said. “We are going to have our typical long johns, chocolate donuts, strawberry doughnuts, etc. Every day there will be a different variety of donuts. Definitely a sprinkled donut as well. We’re going to do your traditional flavorings of an old-school donut.”
