Eureka takes early lead over Marquette, holds on to claim victory 21-14
Eureka’s varsity football team claimed victory over Marquette to advance to 2-0 on the season. While Marquette grabbed an early lead with the first touchdown (0-7), Eureka quickly struck back with three more touchdowns to grab a commanding 21-7 lead. Marquette scored again late in the game, but it wasn’t enough to best the Wildcats. Final score: Wildcats win 21-14.
