As the 2022 home opener draws near, the Cardinals plan to get more creative with their now deepened bullpen and their continuous trade moves that seem to be working for the best.

After recently acquiring outfielder Corey Dickerson, the Cardinals outfield is looking as strong as ever. One can expect that our starting outfielders will be pretty consistent the entire year with young stars, Harrison Bader, Dylan Carlson and Tyler O’Neil, using Dickerson as a bench player until an inevitable injury occurs.

As many older Cardinals fans know, losing Pujols proved to be one of the sadder days in Cardinals history, but just when Cardinals fans thought they would never see first baseman, Albert Pujols, in a cardinals jersey again Then, on March 28, 2022, the legend returned wearing the number five jersey and ready to end his career right where he started.

Cardinals Managers plan to use Pujols for the newly added position of Universal Designated Hitter (DH), considering that the Cardinals already have the esteemed first baseman and power hitter, Paul Goldschmidt holding that position already.

Spring training games have been plainly average for the Cardinals, ending with nine wins and five losses, finishing first in the Grapefruit League. The Cardinals are in better shape than many others for the upcoming season, but need to work harder to fix their hitting stats.

Our St. Louis Cardinals play against the Pittsburgh Pirates today, April 7th. With the combination of our amazing starting lineup planned and stats comparison, the Cardinals are projected to win today’s game.

Cardinals fans are beyond excited to see the beginning of “The Last Dance” from Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols and Adam Wainwright today in the starting lineup and fans are beyond ready to see this trio and the rest of the Cardinals bring to the table this season.
