New principal announced for EHS 2020-2021 school year

Corey Sink is recognized as the new principal at the Board of Education meeting, Feb. 6.

The Rockwood School District announced that Corey Sink will take over the role as head principal of Eureka High School for the 2020-2021 school year, Thursday night at the Board of Education meeting.

A Eureka native, Sink currently works at Parkway West High School as an assistant principal. 

Prior to his role at Parkway West, Sink was an assistant principal at Parkway South High School for seven years and St. Charles High School for four years. He also spent seven years as a business teacher at St. Charles High School. 

Sink attended the University of Missouri, Southeast Missouri State University and most recently Lindenwood University, where he received his Doctorate of Education.

Sink will officially become the head principal of EHS, Wednesday, July 1, as current principal Charlie Crouther, will be retiring, Tuesday, June 30. Crouther announced his retirement, Nov. 11, 2019, after five years at Eureka and 40 years in education.

The start of the 2020-2021 school year will mark Sink’s 22nd year of working in education.
