Rockwood updates COVID-19 plans
The Rockwood School District released an updated statement regarding the COVID-19 virus, Sunday, March 15.
Students left for Spring Break, March 12. RSD planned to resume all classes Monday, March 22, but amid the coronavirus outbreak, things have changed.
Rockwood students will be out of school until Friday, April 3.
St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson announced via Twitter that all gatherings larger than 50 people are to be prohibited for the next eight weeks. She also posted that all schools in the area should consider closing until Friday, April 3, at which time the closures will be reevaluated.
Additionally, it is recommended that by at least Wednesday, March 18, all public, private, charter & parochial schools across @STLCityGov @SaintLouCo @sccmo @madisoncountyil @stclairhealth close until further notice. This decision will be reevaluated by April 3. #COVID19

According to COVID-19 tracking data from the New York Times, 3,453 people in the U.S. have tested positive for the virus. The data also shows that 62 people have died from the virus in the U.S.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports that as of March 14, 122 people have tested negative for coronavirus and five have tested positive. The current death toll in Missouri is zero.
