Places To Go Within 25 Miles
Some of the most interesting places to visit in the Eureka area within driving distance.
Outside of school sometimes finding things to do for fun can be difficult, but in reality, there are many things close or even within 25 miles of Eureka and Wildwood to go do with friends or family.
Six Flags, one of the largest and most known amusement parks all over the country, is popular with local teenagers and families. It has over 32 rides including large roller coasters, water rides, and more. Six Flags is a great place to go if you’re looking for thrills and excitement. Chris Brennan, 9, thinks Six Flags is the perfect weekend spot to hang out with friends.
“As far as things close to us I like six flags and it’s a great place to go with friends,” Brennan said.
For students who are looking for scenic nature and a peaceful environment, Castlewood State Park is the perfect destination. Castlewood is a great place to get fresh air and hike various trails, like the RiverScene Trail. Emma Cande, 12, loves to look out at the Meramec river that winds throughout the park.
“I really like anything water related especially at State Parks like Castlewood and such,” Cande said.
Another great activity within thirty minutes around Eureka is attending a concert at Hollywood Amphitheatre. Hollywood Amphitheatere is one of the most popular concert venues which hosts big-time performers every year. The most recent celebrities that have performed are Thomas Rhett, Pitbull, and Luke Bryan.
Claire Gramlich, 10, loves Hollywood Ampitheatre because of the multiple seating options that help concerts be more comfortable and enjoyable.
“Concerts are great around STL especially at Hollywood amphitheater because it’s outside, ‘’ Gramlich said. “I went to Luke Bryan most recently with my friends and had a really good time. It’s really nice to be outdoors and not crowded or squished in an indoor facility.”
Many people love Eureka because of its “small town charm” but, there are many great spots near Eureka for stu-
dents to have fun. Whether you’re looking for thrills, nature, or music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, within
25 miles of our school.
