“I am shocked. I am trying to soak it all in. I am really appreciative of my parents and family. It’s nice to be recognized. I was shocked when Mr. Crouther played his trumpet. I was confused sitting in my office and they kept trying to keep me in my office. The rumor on the street is that I get to spend the rest of the day with my family. I am very thankful that everyone is here supporting me. I had no idea that I was going to get this award. I knew I was one of the people on the larger list, but I wasn’t aware that I was getting recognized.” – John Wunderlich, guidance counselor
