We take pride in our staff, and now we get to know them with their “last ten.”

What was the last restaurant you visited? “Michaels. It’s on Manchester in Dogtown.”

  • Do you remember what you ordered? “I had toasted ravioli.”
  • What kind of restaurant is it? “It’s just a little dive. It’s not that fancy.”
  • Do you go there often? “Yeah, it’s kind of one of those places we go for big milestones in our life. My son is going to college, so we were celebrating that.”
  • What college is your son going to? “He is going to McGill in Montreal, so it’s kind of far. I can’t wait to visit.”
  • How old is your son? “He’s 18.”
  • What’s his name? “His name is Luke.”
  • Does he know what he wants to major in? “International relations. He likes languages and politics, so something with a mix of the two.”

What was the last TV show or movie you watched? “I watched some reruns of ‘Mad Men.’”

  • Do you watch “Mad Men” a lot? “Yes!”
  • Who do you watch it with? “I watch it with my son and his friends. They would come over on those nights and, we would watch that. We would make predictions about what was going to happen.”
  • Who is your favorite character? “Jon Hamm.”

What was the last thing you ate? “This morning I had an omelet.”

  • What do you usually put on your omelets? “Feta cheese, peppers and mushrooms.”
  • Do you usually make breakfast every morning? “Yes.”
  • Do you often have omelets? “Yeah, pretty much.”

What was the last thing you did at your former job or school? “I taught science in a special school district.”

  • Is it a lot different teaching here than at your other school? “Yeah, I came from U. City. U City was more of an urban school, and it wasn’t as big. It was a lot smaller than here. This feels more like the traditional high school that you would see on TV. People are outside hanging out, and I feel like I’m in another state. It feels like we’re in California or Colorado. It’s how I imagine a high school would be there. In U. City it was old because it was on the National Historical Registry. It was this old building and didn’t feel like a contemporary high school at all.”

Who was the last person you shared a phone call with? “My friend on my way to work this morning, another teacher.”

  • What did you guys talk about? “We talk about what books were reading or movies we’ve seen. She has a son that is my son’s age, so we talked about them going to college and if they like it or not.”

Who was the last person you hugged? “My son before I left the house this morning.”

What is the last store you went to? “Last night, I went to Aldi’s.”

  • Do you usually go to Aldi’s? “Yeah, I like to get my produce there because it is cheaper. I get a lot of fruits and vegetables.”

What was the last soda you drank? “I don’t drink soda.”

  • Why don’t you drink soda? “I have been trying really hard not to have sugar in my diet for health reasons. I drink more teas and water.”

What was the last out of state place you visited? “Chicago.”

  • What did you do when you were in Chicago? “We went to some art museums. We got to walk around the city. My son had a meeting, and he met other kids that were going to the same college as him, so we met other families that were going there. My childhood friend lives there, so we stayed with them.
  • Did you go over the summer? “Yeah.”
  • Was it just you and your son? “Yup.”

Who was the last person you communicated with over social media? “Probably one of my friends. We all wrote comments on her post”
