Mr. Randy Gabel, deputy fire chief, with Eureka Fire District shares a story that hits close to home, April 9.
Along side Mr. Gabel stands Samantha Light, daughter of Mr. Greg Light.
Mr. Greg Light was an honored firefighter for the Eureka Fire District for 28 years. He helped out with the Drunk-U-Drama for every skit in the past, always insisting on doing the makeup of students who participated in the act.
That was until last year on March 7, 2014, when he was hit by a drunk driver at a stop light and killed on the scene.
“Our ultimate goal is to make sure we get the message out to everyone to have a good time, a safe prom,” Mr. Gabel said. “But don’t drink and drive.”
