A Eureka police officer now works at his community’s high school
Officer Brett Grittini joins EHS after four years on the Eureka Police Department. In his first year as a resource officer he is looking forward to getting to know the students.
Here is Officer Grittini’s “Last Ten.”
What was the last movie you watched?
“The last movie I watched was ‘Step Brothers’ with my wife Amanda this past Monday night.”
What was the last restaurant you went to?
“The last restaurant I went to was Joey B’s with my wife on our anniversary, July 5. I ordered the Brett burger because my name is Brett.”
What was the last joke you told?
“I tell jokes every day. Probably with you, when I said I was going to take goofy pictures, that was a joke.”
When was the last time you jumped up and down in happiness?
“The last time I jumped up and down in happiness was when the baseball team I coach won the championship this July. I coach the STL Redbirds and the STL Warriors, 16 and under teams. I use to play and I love to teach.”
Who was the last person you hugged?
“The last person I hugged was my daughter Gia Rose before I left for work. She is 8 months old.”
When was the last time you went on a waterslide?
“The last time I went on a waterslide was last year at a party at my nephew’s house on a hill in his backyard.”
When was the last time you went out of the state of Missouri?
“The last time I left the state was when I went to Colorado for a golf tournament last year.”
Who was the last person you were mad at?
“The last person I was mad at was myself. I was playing golf a couple of weeks ago, and I wasn’t doing very good.”
When was the last time you were nervous?
“The last time I was nervous was walking into my first day of work here at EHS. It was like my first day of school again.”
