After performing with Onstage! And Mixed Chamber Choir, Jerod Turner (12) waves to the audience after singing a duet to “P.Y.T.” by Michael Jackson with Antonio Sanders (11) during the Variety Show, April 21. “The energy that you feel on stage is what I love about performing,” Turner said. “The audience grants you energy, and it is fulfilling. I liked the Onstage! one the best because I had a solo. I know this sounds conceited, but it was nice having the song focused around me. During class, I had to practice every day, and having that work recognized was nice.”
