Making history, Sydney McFadden gets her arm raised after winning her match against Seckman during the first ever girls wrestling team match, Nov. 28. “It was an adrenaline rush to win,” McFadden said. “I don’t really remember much of the match, but gaining the energy from people up in the stands and my team cheering me on helped me. It felt like I did something good for the school. I joined the team because my family is a family of wrestlers. It was a chance to make history and make my family proud. My cousin, Ben Courtney, encouraged me to pursue this.
