Eureka counselor Sandy Kearney passes away
Eureka High School Guidance Counselor Sandy Kearney passed away from COVID-19, Thursday, April 2.
Kearney worked at EHS for 27 years as a counselor. Prior to this, she was a substitute teacher in the district.
Both Kearney’s sister and daughter work in the Rockwood School District.
Families were notified of her passing via email from RSD and EHS, Thursday evening.
Members of the Eureka community have been asked by administration to not gather at EHS or drop off items to memorialize Kearney at this time.

I am so sorry to hear this. This is truly a tragedy. Sandy was a dedicated educator who was a pleasure to work with. I know she will be sorely missed by many.
