Wildcat chat: Thursday night football games
“I’m going to go to them,” Eric O’Connel (12) said. “Usually after football games I go out afterwards, so now I’m going to have to come home afterwards and do homework. Usually on Thursdays I go to work and do homework, but not anymore since I’ll be going to the football game.”
“I’ll just be attending a football game on a different night,” Samantha Collins (12) said. “I don’t think it really makes a difference. I will probably be really tired on Friday, but the game will just be a lot more talked about the next day.”
“I think less people will go just because they’re going to have to get up early the next day,” Elizabeth Schilling (10) said. “They’re not going to go crazy or anything since they have school the next day.”
“It shouldn’t affect me as a football player too much,” Matt Yancey (12) said. “It just makes our weekends a little longer since we have practice on Sundays. That’s going to be rough for the football players since we stay out pretty late on game nights.”
“I think it’s going to be inconvenient because we have more important things, like work,” Nate Heidenfelder (12) said. “On Fridays most of the time you stay out late and on Thursdays that won’t really work.”
