Don’t donate money to Go Fund Me
Donating to Go Fund Me isn’t the most liable way to help victims since not all 100% of the proceeds to directly to disaster relief.
They automatically deduct a 5% fee from each donation that you receive, according to a review of the site on Best Company. A processing fee of about 3% will also be deducted from each donation.
If a donation of $10 is donated, $9.50 will go to the organization and the other .50 cents will go to Go Fund Me. In cases like this, every penny counts. When donating, people should know their money is all going to the cause.
