Elle+Baker+%2812%29+performs+a+hip+hop+routine+with+the+rest+of+Golden+Line%E2%80%99s+during+the+Homecoming+Pep+Assembly%2C+Oct.+6.+%E2%80%9CEverything+we+had+been+trying+for+and+choreographed+for+ourselves+was+put+out+there%2C%E2%80%9D+Baker+said.+%E2%80%9CI+was+so+nervous+because+we+were+in+front+of+all+our+peers+and+they+could+see+if+one+of+us+messed+up.+It+is+the+only+time+we+are+front+and+center+at+school.+Homecoming+Week+we+all+nickname+%E2%80%9CHell+Week%E2%80%9D+because+it+is+so+stressful.+We+practice+so+hard+that+week%2C+over+and+over+until+its+perfect%2C+and+when+it+is+over+we+can+just+take+a+big+sigh+and+relax.+When+the+performance+is+done+its+just+in+the+moment%2C+and+we+all+our+so+proud+of+ourselves.%E2%80%9D

Elle Baker (12) performs a hip hop routine with the rest of Golden Line’s during the Homecoming Pep Assembly, Oct. 6. “Everything we had been trying for and choreographed for ourselves was put out there,” Baker said. “I was so nervous because we were in front of all our peers and they could see if one of us messed up. It is the only time we are front and center at school. Homecoming Week we all nickname “Hell Week” because it is so stressful. We practice so hard that week, over and over until it’s perfect, and when it is over we can just take a big sigh and relax. When the performance is done it’s just in the moment, and we all our so proud of ourselves.”
