Shifting lunch
EHS will only have two lunch shifts during the 2018-2019 school year.
EHS has eliminated the middle lunch shift for the 2018-2019 school year.
Students will either have first lunch from 11:07-11:37 or second lunch from 12:08-12:38.
“When I assumed responsibility for the lunch schedule, I wanted to make improvements,” AnnMarie Gilman, sophomore principal, said. “Students told me they didn’t like the interruption and that it was often difficult to refocus for the last portion of the class.”
The switch won’t fix everything, but it should limit distractions for students, according to Gilman.
