5 Things to know for the week of 12/9
- Girls Basketball: Girls basketball has two games this week. Their first home game of the season will be against Seckman at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 9. They also face off against Lindbergh at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. The theme for Friday’s game is “Festive Sweater.”
- Wrestling: The Varsity Wrestling Team has a dual meet at Parkway South at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 11. They also will be traveling to Helias High School in Jefferson City for a tournament Dec. 13-14.
- NHS Study Slam: National Honor Society will be hosting a Study Slam with help and tutoring available from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.
- Festive Holiday Sweater Day: The sixth annual Festive Holiday Sweater day will be Friday, Dec. 13. Be sure to sport a fabulous sweater.
- Boys Basketball: Varsity’s first home game will be against Parkway West at 7:00 p.m. in Gym A, Dec. 13. The Catpound will be participating in a “Silent Night.” “Silent Night” is a tradition started by Taylor University where the crowd stays completely silent from the beginning of the game until the 10th point is scored by Eureka. When that point is scored the fans go crazy and cheer very loud, and then become regular cheering fans.
