This is Fine's first year on the Eurekana staff where she is serving as the academics assistant manager for Eurekana 2018. Word that describes her: sassy. Conversation she wants to have with the world: "I would want to understand and discuss the need for violence and hate in the world. I want everyone to get along and for the world to live in peace." Fine is on a competitive hip hop team serves as sophomore class secretary and will play ultimate Frisbee in the spring. Dream job: "My dream job is to be a special needs teacher when I grow up." We talk a lot about fruit and vegetables. At home when I am making things, I now include more healthy foods. I like to eat the food over making it. I plan to take Foods 2. The class is fun.”

Ceremony over, William “Kade” Seymour and Benjamin Hunnis grab a bagel after the Stuco Leadership Breakfast, March 6. Coach Jacob Sumner nominated both for their leadership in football. “I got an award during our [football] banquet similar to this one,” Hunnis said. “It was for a kid who shows excellence on the field but also in day-to-day life. It felt good to receive them. I didn’t purposely try to get them. It just happened. The ceremony just showed how great this school actually is.”

Ruler used as a straight edge, Ronin Brown (10) continues his shading project in Kristina Welsh’s second hour Art Fundamentals class, Feb. 7. “I mostly took this class for fun,” Brown said. “I like to draw the best out of any art classes. I don’t like painting or anything; drawing is more fun. The shading project is kind of hard, but I like how you can make it realistic. This class is not only a break in school, but it teaches me how to draw, which might help me in the future.”

Performances coming to an end, Kaitlyn Luft receives hugs from Sarah Emery and Lucy Trask to celebrate Golden Line’s Senior Night, Jan.19. The seniors performed a special dance they choreographed to “Bonfire Heart” by James Blunt. “The most memorable moment for me was definitely performing our senior dance,” Luft said. “ Ive been on the team with those six girls for four years, and they have become my closest friends. The night was bittersweet, but since it wasn’t our last performance together I didn’t feel too sad. It was more a sweet moment for me because just getting to perform with them still after four years is the best feeling ever. We still have three more competitions and some basketball games so our season isnt over yet. When it does end, Ill definitely be sad.”
