Committed D1 baseball player Jaxson Joggerst, 12, will be starting his journey next year at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) studying business.
“I have been playing baseball since I was in preschool, when I was four years old,” Joggerst said.
Many people have made a huge impact on getting Joggerst to where he is today and getting him ready for his next step.
“My teammates and coaches have pushed me along the way and have provided a lot of support for when I’m struggling. They are a big part of the process for me,” Joggerst said.
And when it comes to family they have the biggest impact on Joggerst and his career in Baseball and his academics.
“My biggest influence is definitely my mom because she’s always pushing me to do my best at everything I do in life and especially baseball,” Joggerst said.
Although this will be Joggerst’s first year at SEMO, it is not the first Joggerst they have seen. This year will be his brother’s senior year at SEMO playing baseball.
“SEMO was never really on the radar for me but I’ve known the coaches for a while because of summer ball and it will be a really cool opportunity that I will be getting to play there, especially getting to play a year with my brother,” Joggerst said.
Being a part of a team is a great experience and one that you will cherish for the rest of your life.
“Being a part of a team means so much to me just having those guys with you every day and knowing that you can always count on them. And outside of baseball we will always be there for each other,” Joggerst said.
Joggerst is extremely excited to move on to his new school and start a new chapter of his life and he has absolutely nothing holding him back.
“I’m excited for this new experience because it’s going to start the next chapter of the rest of my life,” Joggerst said.
