“I’m passionate about reading. I like poetry that tells the truth. It shows the hardship and that not everybody gets a happy ending. I can relate to that because a lot of things happened to me in middle school. I was bullied. It got taken way too far, to the point where I just wanted to give up. Reading is where I go when I can’t take it anymore. Books are always there for me when people weren’t. I got attached to them because they were the only ones who knew how I felt.”
