Freshmen ice cream social, a muddy cross country meet and Patriot Day

Sept. 7 to 13

Mud splattered on her legs, Courtney Reid (10) runs the Forest Park course during the girls cross country meet, Sept. 8. “The mud is what was challenging,” Reid said. “There wasn’t much area to run. Going downhill and uphill while trying to maintain your speed in the mud was hard. I’ve liked running since I was little. It also makes me more positive about myself and my accomplishments. I enjoy the people I am surrounded by and the environment that cross country provides. Each and every person on the team has their own personality and we all work together.” Girls varsity placed fifth and girls JV placed third overall.
