Student Council organizes a tremendous amount of events and activities throughout each school year, they are led by a group of elected students making up an executive board (execs). Currently there are five elected executive positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Director this team works closely with student council advisors Andrew Gensler and Alexis Kleekamp to manage the organization. In practice the executive board makes all major decisions and assigns duties to members of the council such as designating chairs for events and managing committees. Executive Student Council members often put in many extra hours to complete their responsibilities, taking their fourth hour off to have time to meet as a team multiple times a week. As well as arriving at school before the bell and staying after, to set donuts out for students or help clean campus.
8:00 A.M. March 9, 2026 the ballot was officially released to students with the candidates for the upcoming executive election, voting is set to close on March 11, 2026 at the end of the school day. All students received an email from Gensler with the link to the online ballot in addition to a link to watch the campaign speeches of the executive board candidates. Participating in this election is essential for all students as voting is a direct way to make your voice heard by electing peers to represent the student body. Whether or not a majority of students vote an executive board will still be elected, so the only way to ensure the candidates that reflect your values are elected is by participating in the election process and voting.
